You could spend an hour wrestling a messy planning doc into something you would actually show your team.

What if you handed over those notes and got a clean, on-brand road map back in minutes?

That is exactly what Claude Design does now, and it is built right into Claude.

How We Used Claude Design To Turn Strategy Notes Into a One-Page Road Map

A team lead has a messy doc of goals and ideas from a planning session. Instead of formatting a timeline by hand, they hand the notes to Claude Design, pick a road map template, and get a clean one-page plan ready to share.

How We Did It

Here is the whole flow, start to finish, using a one-page road map as the example. The same steps work for almost any design. Think of Claude Design as a fast first-draft partner: it does the heavy lifting, you keep control of the final call. If you can write a short brief, you can do this.

1. Open Claude Design

Go to claude.ai or the desktop app and click 'Design' to open the design panel. Any paid Claude plan, starting at $20 a month, now includes it as part of your normal usage, so there is no separate bill to track.

2. Set up your design system first

This is the step most people skip, and it is what keeps your work from looking generic. On the design system page, describe your company and what it does, then upload your logo files and colors. Press 'Continue to Generation' and give it 5 to 10 minutes. You get back a full brand kit with fonts, colors & sample layouts you can reuse on every project.

3. Pick a template & your design system

Start from a template that fits your goal (the road map or diagram one works well for plans and timelines) and choose your saved design system from the dropdown. Templates also cover one-pagers, wireframes, social posts & more, so pick the closest starting point.

💫 Level Up

Capture, Chat, Convert. Without Touching Your Budget.

HubSpot's free tools take teams from scattered touchpoints to a connected customer experience. Free forms, live chat, and landing pages all feed into HubSpot Smart CRM — so every interaction is tracked, logged, and ready to act on.

You Get:

4. Upload your notes & write a clear brief

Attach your strategy doc or planning notes, then say what you want, e.g.,

'Turn these notes into a one-page road map for the next year, grouped by quarter.'

The more specific you are, the less Claude has to guess. A few minutes later you have a clean, on-brand road map, which saves the time you would spend wrangling boxes and arrows by hand.

5. Edit and refine

Click into the 'Edit' view to change anything directly, or drop a comment on a spot and tell Claude what to fix (e.g., move a milestone to a different quarter). Refine the big things first, then fine-tune the details.

6. Ask Claude to review, then share

Ask it to check the road map for anything unclear or missing, so a second set of eyes catches what you might overlook. When it looks right, share it as a web link or download it as a PDF to send to your team.

Other Use Cases

This same workflow stretches across the whole business. Anywhere you need something to look good fast, Claude Design can help:

📣 Marketing: build on-brand social posts & landing pages from one prompt

💰 Sales: turn a rough outline into a clean one-page sell sheet

🛠️ Product: hand developers a clickable wireframe built from a simple doc

🚀 Founders: spin messy meeting notes into an on-brand pitch deck

🧭 Operations: map a process doc into a clear diagram or flow

💡 Bonus Pro Tips

Keep your project as a shareable web link. By doing this, your team always opens the latest version, with no re-sending files.

Bring your own images. Claude Design builds everything with code, so it does not make photos. Create images in Gemini or ChatGPT, or use a real photo, then upload them into your design.

Save a design system for each brand. Once one is dialed in, duplicate it and tweak a color or font, so every client stays consistent without starting over. This is where the time savings really stack up

Feed it a transcript for motion graphics. Paste a video transcript and ask for animations. You get editable motion graphics you can export as an MP4, work that usually takes hours by hand
